Crimlin, Ross, Castlebar, Co. Mayo – peacefully, at Mayo University Hospital on 2nd January 2026.

Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Margaret (née Walsh).

John HopkinsHe will be sadly missed by his brothers Michael (Ross), Tony (Crimlin), Francis (Crimlin) and his sisters Maureen Moylette (Islandeady) and Brid (Crimlin and Newcastle, Galway), his aunts Maureen Joyce (Station Road, Castlebar) and Margaret Walsh (Hollyhill), the Neary family, his sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

John will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar (F23 FD90) on Sunday, 4th January from 5.00pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal afterwards to St. Michael’s Church, Crimlin, arriving at 7.00pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, 5th January at 11.00am. After Mass, John will be laid to rest in Turlough cemetery.
